Nigiri


A timeless classic with which all connoisseurs of Japanese cuisine are familiar. The name of the dish is translated from Japanese as “handful”: this is the amount of rice that Japanese chef Johei from one of the restaurants in Tokyo considered optimal for one meal. 


A small portion of rice is topped with a slice of fresh fish and served with soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. It's a simple yet elegant dish that perfectly accentuates the fresh flavor of the fish, yet creates a harmonious combination with the rice.
